Solar Activity Alerts
This page provides links to solar activity alerts and predictions. Such alerts are issued when solar activity is likely to have a reasonable effect on Earth's geometric conditions. This can and will often result in diminished quality of radio wave propagation for ham operators on various bands. It can also substantially impact air, sea, and land navigation systems. On rare occasions it can be favorable on band quality. Solar activity alerts also are good indicators that there may be good aurora (Northern Lights) activity during hours of darkness of the specified period.
